In the next month, I have two talks scheduled in Western Massachusetts. Both will feature my new book on Fort Greene Park. The talk in Greenfield is my full-blown presentation I’ve been honing and improving for the last year. The event in December will be more low-key and shorter. Either way, I hope to see you there!
As part of the Greenfield Community College Senior Symposium, Mark Roessler will be giving his full two-hour multimedia presentation: Olmsted Panoramic. Dispelling the many myths about the landscape architect, Roessler tells the unknown story of how Olmsted became a park designer and how his parks were built in an effort to heal the country and strengthen the democracy. The talk is to be held at the in Greenfield.

Help celebrate the release of Roessler’s new book about Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn. The event will include a talk about Olmsted and panoramic tour of his revolutionary park. Held at A.P.E. Gallery’s 33 Hawley Street space.
Copies of his most recent Olmsted books will be for sale. Both talks will feature Roessler’s new short film, “Where Buildings Begin, The Park Ends.” Please register through the GCC website for the Greenfield event.
